The calendar may say that the new year starts in January, but ask any kid or teacher and they’ll tell you that the new year really starts in September.
Store aisles full of brand-new pencils and reams of paper and crisp fall air makes us want to declutter our drawers, buy a bunch of brand-new supplies, and organize our offices.
Einstein might have said “If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?” but you’ve still got to be able to find what you’re looking for.
So we won’t tell you to just clean off your desk, but instead to get truly organized. These days that includes more than just being able to see your desk. It includes dealing with your email inbox (spoiler alert: there’s an app for that) and managing your digital files as well.
