Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the philanthropic sector and within PEAK Grantmaking’s membership has been on the rise for quite some time now, as evidenced by projects such as the D5 Coalition and GuideStar’s efforts to create a DEI data infrastructure in philanthropy. From highly attended conference sessions to numerous discussions on discussion community, CONNECT, we hear your interest and see your dedication to supporting your DEI work.
At the same time, the field has been actively engaged in conversations on how best to improve organizations DEI efforts. In a recent discussion among PEAK Grantmaking members, some shared their experiences on how to start and/or improve their organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion practices in their grantmaking, including tools and resources. One member shared a list of resources collected during her organization’s research into this focus area. She and her organization have generously allowed us to share this document and you can download the list of DEI Resources.
We want to hear from you. What has your organization tried in this highly complex but worthwhile area? Do you have any resources you’d like to share? Or maybe get feedback on some of the approaches your organization is considering? Share your thoughts, comments, or concerns below.
