Sponsored Webinar | Designing Agile & Equitable Granting Systems

Join this complimentary webinar sponsored and presented by Submittable.

Join Submittable’s Caitlin Stainken as she interviews Lauren Slone, MAP Fund’s Director of Grants & Research, on how MAP Fund has worked to design more agile and equitable systems into its granting process. MAP awards $1 million annually to support innovation and cross-cultural exploration in new works of live performance.

With an emphasis on creating application and review structures that have the potential to welcome diverse applicants, we’ll explore MAP’s process, innovations, and lessons learned over its 30 years of grantmaking. You’ll hear ideas for how to:

  • Minimize the applicant’s burden and create a feedback-rich organizational culture
  • Remove staff bias as much as possible
  • Assemble a diverse, national cohort of peer reviewers
  • And why it’s important to be willing to experiment and fail
