Celebrate and CONNECT

CONNECT, PEAK Grantmaking’s online community, is one year old. Happy Birthday to YOU!

This is really a celebration of you—PEAK Grantmaking members who have made CONNECT a successful resource for seeking advice and sharing ideas.

Believe it or not, you’ve written 2,499 posts, shared 388 files and links, and downloaded 7,976 items—policies, surveys, forms, worksheets, agreements, and guidelines. That’s quite an achievement.

Along the way, I hope you’ve learned a few things about effective grantmaking and made connections with peers who are working strategically and thoughtfully to achieve their organization’s mission and create a more equitable world.

Help us celebrate this important milestone. During the month of October, one member will win a free registration* to #PEAK2018 in Orlando, March 19-21. Upload a photo, bio, job history, and/or education history to your CONNECT profile (learn how), and you’ll be entered into the drawing —one entry for each field you complete. Current members who have completed these fields previously are also eligible for the drawing. We will announce the contest in the November issue of the Insider newsletter.

We also want you to tell us what CONNECT means to you. How has a conversation on CONNECT helped you in your work? Have you used other members’ comments to revamp your application process? How did you use shared insights to make a decision about a grants management system? Did you change a policy based on feedback from other grantmakers? We’ll round up these comments and share them with you later in the month (anonymously, if you prefer).

We’ll be posting more about CONNECT throughout the month. You’ll pick up a few tips and tricks and learn about new community features that add value to your CONNECT experience.
