A message from PEAK Grantmaking Executive Director Michelle Greanias:
Thank you so much for entrusting the leadership of this amazing organization to me over the past decade. As I hit my 10-year anniversary last year, my thoughts turned towards my future and what next steps I wanted to take in my personal life and career. In November, I’ll be leaving PEAK Grantmaking to explore those opportunities.
This decision is bittersweet. I’m leaving PEAK Grantmaking at a time of incredible growth and impact. Our membership community now encompasses more than 4,000 grantmaking professionals passionate about improving practices. A suite of tools and resources to help you adopt the five Principles of Peak Grantmaking are rolling out soon. I can only imagine what you will be able to achieve in the coming months and years.
I am leaving this organization in incredibly capable, creative, and dedicated hands. I thank the PEAK Grantmaking board, our 200+ volunteers, COO Dolores Estrada, and the other ten members of our amazing team for everything they do to serve our members and support me personally. I could not ask for a better group of colleagues.
Rest assured that I will remain fully dedicated to PEAK Grantmaking over the next few months and plan to work closely with our board and staff to ensure a smooth transition to the next leader. I look forward to continuing to work with all of you through that process and wherever in philanthropy I wind up next!
A Note from the Board Co-Chairs
We are grateful to Michelle for her years of dedication and effort to build PEAK into the strong and effective organization it is today. Michelle had become synonymous with Grants Managers Network, and now with PEAK, and she can be considered nothing less than a pathbreaking leader in the philanthropic sector. Together we have the difficult task of finding a leader to fill Michelle’s shoes.
The PEAK Grantmaking Board has formed a Search Committee to identify our next leader. They are working on plans now. We will share more information over the coming weeks about that process and timeline.
On behalf of the board and staff of PEAK Grantmaking, we wish Michelle every success in her next role.
All the best,
Adriana Jiménez and Rikard Treiber
