Director of Grants Administration and Legal Counsel, Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust


Josh’s professional career has been devoted to serving nonprofit organizations. He joined the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust in 2018 after working as an attorney with Faegre Baker Daniels in Indianapolis, where he advised nonprofit organizations on legal matters related to their tax exemptions as well as board governance and general corporate issues. Previously, Josh was the executive director and managing attorney for the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to low-income individuals. He has served on several boards of Indianapolis-area nonprofit organizations, including United Way of Central Indiana, the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and the Oaks Academy. In his position at the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, Josh manages all aspects of grant administration, record keeping, and tax compliance processes. He serves as in-house legal counsel, secretary to the board, and is a member of the trust’s leadership team. The trust’s mission is focused on helping women, children, and families; protecting animals and nature; and enriching community life, primarily in the metropolitan areas of Indianapolis and Phoenix. The trust has awarded over $340 million in grants and student scholarships since its inception in 1997.
