The Chronicle of Philanthropy reports:
More Americans volunteered in 2011 than in any other year since 2005, a new study finds. Approximately 64.3 million Americans volunteered at charities in 2011, providing 7.9 billion hours of service valued at $171-billion.
Grants Managers Network receives significant value from the long hours our volunteers put in to everything from planning events and writing for GMN publications to promoting GMN locally and across the country. In 2011, we flourished with help from 188 volunteers!
