PEAK Grantmaking

A Three-Part Strategy to Transform Grantmaking Practice

PEAK imagines a world where funders make space for learning and place a high value on sharing what they learn to best approach constantly shifting conditions on the ground. And grants professionals are at the nexus of philanthropic work, giving them a unique ability to translate data into the know-how that improves practices, strategies, and impact—and to advance innovative approaches that support evolving community needs.

Learn, Share, Evolve—PEAK’s fifth Principle—calls on team and organizational leaders to intentionally create brave, inclusive learning spaces that encourage individuals to strengthen the practice of curiosity, allow for informal and formal learning, and help build knowledge-sharing habits. In addition to providing a primer on Learn, Share, Evolve, his action planner details three actions funders can take to put this Principle into practice.

In addition to an expanded edition of PEAK Grantmaking Journal—an extensive collection of insights developed and curated to help guide you in operationalizing this Principle—you’ll find a roundup of Learn, Share, Evolve resources here. And, any time you’re looking for resources supporting our five Principles, visit the Principles section of our website to discover action planners, case stories, how-to guides, related insights, and more.
