Chapter Chat: Trends in Philanthropy (PEAK New England)

PEAK New England is pleased to welcome Naomi Orensten, Senior Director of Programs and Strategy at the Dorot Foundation, and Lauren Janus, Chief Operating Officer at Phīla Giving to our quarterly meeting.

During our time together, we will have two brief presentations followed by an informal discussion.

We will explore:

• general operating grants; and
• participatory grantmaking

Our discussion will focus on the benefits of general operating grants and the philosophy behind participatory grantmaking, including methods for raising community voices, engaging community partners, and ideas for recognizing participants with stipends and other means of support.
