New York Botanical Garden Outing (PEAK Northeast)

Join us for an unforgettable trip to the New York Botanical Garden organized by the Northeast Membership Committee. Immerse yourself in the beauty and cultural richness represented in their new exhibit, African American Garden: The Caribbean Experience and the Indigenous Perspectives Tour.

In the African American Garden, you’ll embark on a captivating journey through eight vibrant beds filled with history and stories of resilience, migration, and creativity, all portrayed through the vibrant plants of the Caribbean region. The Indigenous Perspectives Tour offers a comprehensive exploration of the history and traditional culture of Indigenous Peoples. Discover how plants are identified and harvested in both traditional and modern contexts as you traverse the natural areas of the garden.

Join us for a day filled with education, wonder, and joy. We hope you’ll leave the New York Botanical Garden informed, delighted, and inspired by the diverse cultural and natural heritage showcased in these special tours.
