Onward: Leading With Courage at PEAK2025

Change begins with us, and each member of the PEAK community is an inherent leader. And we live in a moment that requires us to courageously lean into the headwinds that challenge us. To this, we say: Onward!
PEAK2025 is a call for our community to lead, to build on our momentum, and to constructively engage with our feelings of discomfort to transform philanthropy and dismantle systems that disenfranchise people throughout our nation. As individuals and as a collective, let’s lead with courage and boldly move toward a future where justice and equity prevail. To this, we say: Onward!
Get ready to join us March 24–26, 2025 in New Orleans! Registration will open in October.

PEAK2023 felt more like a family reunion than a conference. It lifted me up to see the warmth, the drive, and the determination amongst us all to continue to learn, to listen, to speak up, to do better, and so much more.

Kelsey Andersen, Grants and Information Systems
Arcus Foundation

I came away from PEAK2023 with some powerful takeaways after three days of learning, sharing, and exploring ways of incorporating more effective grantmaking practices with peers across the sector. I am so energized to put what I learned to practice and so grateful I had a chance to build a community in this way!

Patricia Varela, Grants Specialist
The David and Lucile Packard Foundation

Our team unanimously found this to be the best gathering of this community to date. We’re buzzing with inspiration and ideas to further align our grantmaking practices with our values, center our grantee partners, and drive equity in our grantmaking.

The PEAK community reunited May 8–10, 2023 in Baltimore and virtually with a record number of 1,244 participants. For our first in-person annual convening since 2019, we debuted new ways of gathering that invited you to join us on a collective emergent learning journey toward more equitable, effective grantmaking. Over three days, we focused on our Learn, Share, Evolve Principle, lifting up stories and insights from across the PEAK community, and exploring ways that members are leaning into each of our five Principles to be activated change agents for philanthropy.

PEAK2022 Online

In March 2022, more than 1,200 members of the PEAK community came together for a virtual conference centering on what it looks like to “live your PEAK.” Across the week, we imagined how grantmaking can truly embody what PEAK stands for: Principles, Equity, Advocacy, and Knowledge, taking inspiration from thought-provoking keynotes, interactive peer dialogues, skill-building breakouts, and community gatherings—leaving empowered to lead change in our organizations and the sector at large.

PEAK2020 Online

On March 4, 2020, PEAK’s Board of Directors made the decision to cancel the PEAK2020 conference slated for March 9-11 in Seattle due to the COVID-19 outbreak—a decision based wholly on ensuring the health and safety of attendees, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, hotel workers, and the communities to which each would have been returning.
