Teresita serves as Deputy Director at Healthy Places by Design, an organization that partners with philanthropies and communities nationwide to drive strategic consulting, collaborative learning, and impactful community-led strategies for health equity. She leads organization-wide initiatives, oversees financial strategy, human resources, and operations ensuring all organizational processes and services are high-quality, efficient, effective, and mission focused.
Prior to joining Healthy Places by Design, Teresita served in different leadership roles in both corporate and philanthropic arms at Blue Cross NC for more than 15 years, and has partnered, as a strategic consultant, with nonprofit and philanthropic organizations to support operational excellence, stakeholder experience, capacity building, fundraising, and organizational strategy and effectiveness.
Teresita served on the leadership team of the PEAK Southeast chapter and has also served on boards of many North Carolina nonprofits. Currently, she is an international board advisor for a Kenya-based NGO that works with children and communities living in extreme poverty.
