Career Progression: Best practices and pitfalls (PEAK Northeast)

In this follow-up to our June 7 program “Leading Without the Title,” two colleagues who recently received promotions will share key things that worked for them and what they wish they would have done differently. Topics for discussion will include how to frame your request for promotions and raises, what evidence you can use to back up your request, how organizational culture and individual biases play into career progression, how to build networks to aid your professional growth, and how issues of gender and race may impact your career. We will also discuss unique issues related to professional growth both for grant managers and in the field of philanthropy. Come share your challenges and advice for growth with colleagues looking to further their careers!
