Community Conversation #3 | Managing Responsive Grantmaking During the COVID-19 Crisis
Members, join us for our third member forum around how grants management professionals can support their organizations, peers, and grantees during this international crisis.
During this conversation, we will take a deep dive into streamlining grantmaking practices around applications and reporting during the time of this global pandemic and beyond to narrow the power gap between grantmakers and grantseekers.
PEAK staff will share survey findings revealing how PEAK members are meeting this moment by implementing practice and process changes. Take the survey here.
Janet Camarena, PEAK board member and Director of Candid Learning, will share a scan of how grantmakers are reducing grantee applicant and reporting burden with examples drawn from GlassPockets’ foundations that commit to working in open and transparent ways. She will also share what Candid is hearing from its grantseeker audience about how application and Request for Proposal (RFPs) processes can be improved.
We will then open the discussion to grants management professionals about the changes they are implementing and consider ways we can elevate streamlined practices in the sector now and moving forward. What does responsible stewardship look like when it comes to grant applications look like now and in the future? Should PEAK develop recommendations to the field on do’s and don’ts for application and/or reporting processes? And do you want to be part of the group that kicks off this effort? Join us to see where this dialogue takes us!
