Grantmaker Myth Busting (PEAK Rocky Mountain)

Please join us to discuss where conventional wisdom about grantmaking goes wrong. The session will be led by two grants-managing attorneys: Justine Palacios of Arnold Ventures, a very large grantmaker, and Josh Abel of Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, a midsized grantmaker. Together, they will share their experiences in navigating specific legal risks for their organizations. Topics include grant agreements and if you really need them, funding advocacy and lobbying (it can be done!), and why some organizations may choose to restructure to pursue bolder grantmaking.
