How to Operationalize Equity: Part 1 (PEAK Southeast and PEAK Florida)
Many grantmakers are voicing a commitment to equity, but how do you live your values and translate good intentions into action? Join the PEAK Southeast and PEAK Florida chapters for a joint two-part series that will explore how to take concrete steps toward putting equity into practice.
In Part I, we’ll hear from Katrina Mitchell, Chief Community Impact Officer at the United Way of Greater Atlanta, who will share how her organization is operationalizing equity through the United for Racial Equity and Healing Fund. Learn how United Way is approaching its equity journey, building support to push forward, and working differently with shifts in strategy and practice.
Then, join us for Part 2 on October 13, for a facilitated discussion with peers to reflect on our own organizations’ equity journeys, share implementation roadmaps and pitfalls, and identify challenges and opportunities to keep learning and moving forward. You’ll leave with practical ideas, tools, and resources to begin or advance a conversation on equity from wherever you sit.
