Shaping Ethical AI Policies for Philanthropy (PEAK AI for Grantmakers Forum)

Join us for a forum discussion on developing AI policies tailored to foundations in philanthropy, addressing issues including transparency and data privacy. Allison Gister and Jasmin Lombardi of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and Rachel M. Kimber of Full Circle Impact Solutions, and Kyle Renninger, a data, AI, and technology consultant for PEAK, will discuss their own experiences developing policies that govern AI usage and will explore best practices for doing so. Drawing from collaborative learning experiences with nonprofits and technology vendors, the discussion will highlight strategies for creating policies that not only set ethical guardrails but also guide and facilitate thoughtful exploration of AI tools. Attendees will gain practical insights on balancing innovation with accountability, ensuring AI adoption aligns with values of equity, transparency, and responsible data stewardship.
