Show and Tell: Narrowing the Power Gap (PEAK Southeast)

Three dynamic members of the PEAK Southeast chapter are ready to offer you exclusive, behind-the-scenes looks at their efforts in putting Narrow the Power Gap—one of the five Principles for Peak Grantmaking—into practice. This Principle calls grantmakers to adopt policies and practices that cede power and create more balanced partnerships.

Each speaker will host a breakout room and present a show-and-tell experience highlighting real-world strategies for shifting power dynamics in grantmaking. It includes dynamics between funders and applicants and between funding institutions and their staff. You will have the option to rotate through each room to meet multiple speakers or spend the entire session with just one speaker. Come prepared to engage, ask questions, and leave with valuable insights on how to make philanthropy more equitable.
