As associate editor, Yasmin (she, her, hers) supports the development of people-centered stories that illuminate pathways and tools to drive equity in the philanthropy sector.

Before joining PEAK in 2024, Yasmin worked as a writer and editor for a variety of media, publishing, and nonprofit organizations, including TED Conferences, Publishers Weekly, VentureWell, and the Pioneer Valley Workers Center. She is the author of Bone Light, published by the African Poetry Book Fund and Akashic Books, as part of their New-Generation African Poets series. Her creative work has been performed and exhibited in the US Hall of Nations, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Lincoln Center, among other venues; she has also performed her work at MoMA PS1 and the Nuyorican Poets Café for a PBS documentary special.

Yasmin earned a bachelor’s degree in digital media and creative writing from Hampshire College. She lives with her family in Queens, New York. In her free time, Yasmin loves to play volleyball and tennis, dive into a good book, and share meals and laughter with her family and friends.
