PEAK Grantmaking: Member-Driven by Our Volunteers

Our volunteers fuel this association and are critical to its success. As we reflect back on 2018, we are thankful for those who contributed their time, insight, direction, feedback, passion, and leadership to PEAK Grantmaking during the past year. The collective force of PEAK Grantmaking’s volunteers powers between 4,000 and 7,000 hours of vital work annually—the equivalent of a $98,000 contribution. That’s impressive!

We’d like to recognize the volunteers serving on our Board of Directors, on project or task-related committees and teams, in a variety of ways to help us to deliver a content-packed annual conference, and with our regional chapters. Our volunteers help provide meaningful opportunities for members to connect and learn about hot topics and effective practices in grantmaking.

This year, our volunteers shared thoughtful insights on projects that impact the entire grantmaking community. They offered feedback for improving the content and community at PEAK Grantmaking’s new website—coming in early 2019. They contributed to grantmaking principles initiatives.

PEAK Grantmaking is the strong, growing, member-driven organization it is today because of our volunteers.

Volunteering is a great way to build leadership skills, connect with colleagues, support PEAK Grantmaking, and advance the field. We are always eager to engage members in a wide range of volunteer activities.
