Janet is a seasoned philanthropic leader with over 17 years of experience in finance, grants management, and organizational development. Her work has focused on developing effective grantmaking processes, implementing technology systems, and creating infrastructures that align organizational values with intended field outcomes. Janet leads the Nathan Cummings Foundation’s asset management team and is responsible for strategically optimizing the foundation’s diverse asset portfolio. In her role, she oversees the grants lifecycle, develops asset management strategies, and drives comprehensive data collection, evaluation, and measurement initiatives.

The Nathan Cummings Foundation is a multigenerational family foundation that is rooted in the Jewish tradition of social justice and works to create a more just, vibrant, sustainable, and democratic society. The foundation partners with social movements, organizations, and individuals who have creative and catalytic solutions to climate change and inequality and focus on the long-term and interconnected goal of advancing racial, economic, and environmental justice.
