As people, culture, and learning manager, Kaitlyn Borysiewicz (she, her, hers) manages day-to-day operations, with a focus on championing people-centered approaches in internal and external activities that foster organizational impact.

Before this role, Kaitlyn served as communications manager at PEAK, where she strengthened internal processes to support communications, membership, programs, and partnership efforts. She worked for nearly three years at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, streamlining communications infrastructure and overseeing marketing for programs and national conferences. At Georgetown University, she managed the release of an online children’s health coverage report card, which examines state trends in the child uninsured rate. As an advocate for people-centered workplaces, she was a member of the inclusive environments committee at Georgetown University’s McCourt School for Public Policy and has shared insights about workplace culture in the social sector on outlets including Stanford Social Innovation Review, Vox, and Prism. Her work has been cited in publications such as No More Nice Girls: Gender, Power, and Why It’s Time to Stop Playing by the Rules. She also has spoken about stuttering and disability in the workplace on the Proud Stutter podcast.

A Virginia native, Kaitlyn earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Christopher Newport University. Now residing in Alexandria, she volunteers with an extracurricular book club and supports local housing affordability efforts, enjoys Saturday coffee shop trips, and experiments with new bakes under the watchful supervision of her two rescue dogs.
