PEAK Grantmaking

Centering Disability to Drive Equity

Organization Members Only

There are 61 million adults in the U.S. living with disabilities. Yet in its drive toward equity, philanthropy has significantly underfunded disability issues and organizations.

This dialogue session will engage participants in a conversation about disability inclusive grantmaking. How can we address the underfunding of disability inclusion and justice in philanthropy? What must philanthropy do to change its long history of reinforcing ableism with inaccessible grantmaking processes? How can funders create collaborative spaces with disability communities?

We are challenging philanthropy to be more inclusive in its grantmaking, guided by the core disability rights principle of “nothing about us without us.”

This block of breakout sessions is sponsored by Submittable.
