Designing and Launching a Values-Based Grants Management System

In this session we’ll share how the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation embedded transparency, collaboration, and equity into the design of their new grants management system—a custom application on the Salesforce platform. We’ll provide examples of how these values shape the ways staff and grantees interact with the system. We’ll also invite participants to share ways they’ve designed grantmaking systems to lift up the core values, and how they’d like to further align their systems with values moving forward. Participants will leave this session knowing the key steps they can take to embed core values into the design of their systems.
