Thinking strategically about the ways information is produced and shared is fundamental for advocacy organizations. But what about foundations? Following powerful racial, gender, and social awakenings, grantmakers are realizing a need to become less prescriptive, better at collaborating, more transparent and accountable, and outspoken accelerators of equitable change. This work requires changes in how they communicate.
Executives from nongovernmental organizations will discuss how their use of strategic communications increased the impact of their work supporting lower-income Black and Brown youth. And Dietlind Lerner, a strategic communications consultant with a background as a communications director and award-winning journalist, will share the latest, most effective developments from the field.
