Learning from Grantmakers Outside the US
Organization Members Only
While American grantmakers and the U.S. philanthropic sector more generally are often leading the way for setting funding priorities and practices worldwide, it can also lead to the perspectives of progressive funders from other parts of the world being underrepresented. There is an exciting opportunity to expand on what equitable philanthropic practices looks and feels like within a global context, so that language, methodologies, and processes have this one extra layer of inclusivity. In this session, the I.G. Advisors team dive into a few client examples from their work and explored best practices that take into consideration the different contexts and dynamics from grantmakers based in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
