Leveraging intermediaries to drive racial equity: Lessons learned for grantmakers

Over the last decade, Intermediary Organizations have come into prominence in philanthropic circles, serving as the connector with organizations responsible for implementation. In this presentation we will share findings from the evaluation of the role that intermediaries played in driving racial equity in support of the Frontier Set network. Frontier Set is Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded network, comprising 29 postsecondary institutions and 2 state systems, working to dramatically increase student success and erase attainment gaps. Participants will engage in reflection and discussion about how to apply the findings to help optimize their work driving racial equity.
