PEAK Grantmaking

Aligning M&E and Grants Management to Amplify Impact

Organization Members Only

Grantmakers can’t afford the missed opportunities for learning and improvement caused by inefficient tools, siloed processes, and disconnected systems. As the sector continues to demand more evidence and transparency, these siloes will become more detrimental to how grantmakers support their communities. In order to carry out their missions effectively and meet the changing needs of the sector, grantmakers are shifting their thinking and taking an impact-first approach to digital transformation. A fully integrated grant management solution that enables them to work cross-functionally across the grantmaking lifecycle, build feedback into program decision-making, and incorporate learnings in near real-time is essential. The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) is an international nonprofit fund with a mission to end modern slavery by making it economically unprofitable.

In this session, GFEMS and Vera Solutions will discuss the importance of moving from disparate systems and siloed information toward centralized, integrated systems for M&E and grant management. This session will cover the full value chain for bringing together grant and impact data – from integrating feedback into decision-making; to working with partners on a common goal; to maximizing community-wide impact. Participants will:

  • Hear common challenges when it comes to measuring outcomes across a portfolio of grants
  • Learn how technology can break down data silos by aligning M&E and grant management on one platform
  • Understand how grantmaking organizations – both large and small – are using technology to streamline operations, measure impact, and close feedback loops.
